HIRING: SIGGRAPH Trade Show Assistants

Mod is a Sydney-based creative studio specialising in real-time production. We’re recruiting for trade show assistants to help us in Brisbane, 18-20 November, at SIGGRAPH Asia 2019. 

SIGGRAPH is the world’s leading conference that brings together technology and entertainment professionals for the latest in computer graphics and interactive technologies - including VR, gaming and animation. Mod’s social impact VR production, A Clever Label is a finalist in the conference’s Real-Time Live Competition, and we’ll also have a trade booth, so this is an exciting opportunity for people interested in interactive entertainment and immersive experience.  

The pay rate is $20 per hour. Shifts will be four hours. In addition, outside of allocated shift times, you will have access to many valuable SIGGRAPH learning and career development opportunities including presentations, talks, panels, sessions and research papers on a range of topics, access to potential employers and collaborators at the art show, trade show and multiple networking events. See full Exhibitor Pass entitlements at https://sa2019.siggraph.org/reg-travel/registration-categories-fees   

Trade Show Assistants will work closely with Mod staff to professionally represent our studio and maximise opportunities for our senior team to meet with potential clients and collaborators. 


  • Arrive for shifts on time and dressed according to dress-code
  • Familiarise yourself, at start of shift, with essential information and guidelines 
  • Wear provided team shirt throughout shift
  • Warmly and professionally welcome visitors to our stand 
  • Invite visitors to interact with Mod’s work
  • Follow guidelines and, where applicable, offer meetings with Mod CEO
  • Ask questions of Mod staff as needed
  • Keep stand tidy  
  • Immediately inform Mod or venue staff of any hazards or problems 
  • Immediately inform Mod staff of any communication from key stakeholders such as event producers, clients, sponsors or venue
  • Carry out any other assistance as directed by Mod supervisor

The following qualities, skills and experience are essential:

  • Enthusiasm about interactive entertainment and immersive experience
  • Aged 18 or over and have the right to work in Australia
  • Punctuality, reliability and helpfulness
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Good English language proficiency, particularly listening, speaking and reading
  • Ability to actively work a continuous 4-hour shift (maximum 10 minutes away from the stand) 

The following is desirable but not essential:

  • Customer service experience

This role would suit students or others keen to attend SIGGRAPH who will be in Brisbane 18-20 November. Travel to Brisbane is not included. To apply, please use our Recruitment Form.
