Introduction to interactive audio in Unity

Michela recently put together a short course for the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) to introduce Screen Music students to the Unity game engine, one of our favourite interactive design tools here at Mod Productions.

It was a great opportunity to revisit some of our favourite game audio soundscapes and to highlight exciting new developments in audio pioneered by the live coding communities. The course outline - Introduction to interactive audio in Unity - has been published as a Free Culture Work containing links to lots of tasty screencast videos of the titles we looked at, along with some articles and stacks of other reference material.

Thanks to IGDA Sydney who helped put together such an awesome list of games.

Michela also recently gave a lightning talk at PyConAU to introduce live coding to the local python developer community. Check out her slides on slideshare.

The Sydney Unity Users Group meets quarterly at AFTRS to share tradecraft on this exciting space.
