Happy NAIDOC Week

NAIDOC Week is held the first full week of July each year around Australia. It's a time to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and achievements and is an opportunity to recognise the contributions that Indigenous Australians make to our country and our society.

Mod's Haymarket studio is on Gadigal land, otherwise known as the City of Sydney, and the City is hosting a great variety of NAIDOC events inspired by the 2016 NAIDOC Week theme, Songlines: The Living Narrative of Our Nation. The celebrations offer something for everyone, including film screenings, children's activities, readings and discussions, foodie events, weaving workshops, Botanic Gardens events, a bike tour of significant sites, Klub Koori's hip-hop show at Carriageworks, and more.
