Mod was commissioned by RYOT Yahoo Labs to create a proof-of-concept virtual concert experience for the Verizon 5G network.

Concert goers attending iconic venues such as LA's The Wiltern Theatre, share a metaverse experience with fans at home using a custom mobile AR app. Verizon teamed up with Live Nation Clubs and Theaters to deploy 5G Ultra Wideband at 15 venues.

The question behind this proof of concept is, “What if the audience at the venue, and a virtual audience online, could share in the same experience of being ‘in the crowd’?”
