XR SHOWCASE Booth #1
The Screen Festival XR Showcase is housed within the Tech & Innovation Expo, Halls 6 & 7, Floor 4, Exhibition Centre, ICC Sydney
We preview an exciting collaboration between First Nations Traditional Owners from Australia’s remote far north, Gudang Yudhaykenu country, and AFTRS, Australia's national film school.
NOTE Through The Eyes of Our Ancestors is a holographic presentation using lenticular displays - so no need to wear a Head Mounted Display or other eyewear.
Special thanks to Looking Glass Factory for their support. If you're interested in 3D graphics you really need to see their displays in person. Video does not do them justice!

There are myriad ways of being in the world, yet many approaches to experience and technology-design invoke ‘the user’; a standardised, non-specific person with a fixed perspective. But what biases might be hidden within our assumptions about this mythical user? And how might we instead create experiences and tools that reflect and support diverse perspectives and ways of being? Julia Scott-Stevenson, Scott Brown and Michela Ledwidge discuss.
